Dorothy Metal, an actress in Black Panther, has died. She was 95.
Metal’s agent Cindy Butler shared the information through an announcement on Fb, writing that Metal died Friday morning at her residence in Detroit.
“Thanks Ms. Dorothy for giving me the chance to experience this wave with you,” wrote Butler. “Thanks for all of the Casting Administrators who employed Ms. Dorothy. Thanks to the world for loving on her from afar. I acquired calls from everywhere in the world desirous to interview or do a Bio pic of her life. She was very selective.”
Metal was born in 1926 and didn’t start to pursue performing till she was 88. Her early credit included an episode of the TV sequence The Hassle With Going Someplace, the TV film Merry Christmas, Child, and the movie Daisy Winters.
In 2018, Metal performed a service provider tribe elder in Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther.
