Jack Black has a message for Britney Spears.
The Tenacious D rocker has been interviewed about his earlier videos of singing ‘…Baby One More Time’ by the pop singer.
During the conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Black was asked if he had heard from Spears yet. The singer explained while sharing his admiration for Spears:
“No, but Britney, if you’re watching, I love you, I love the song, we’re very proud of it. I hope you like it too.”
The interviewer suggested the two make a dance video together. Black said he was ready for it:
“Can you imagine? I’m here, I’m ready when you are.”
Did The Dancing Video Have An Intention?
Tenacious D members shared a preview of their cover of Britney Spears’ 1998 hit on the band’s social media accounts in late February. In the video, Black dances to the song with Kyle Gass and ends the video with a fist. The rocker had the word ‘baby’ written across his fingers.
The video’s caption had the panda, tiger, and collision emojis together. The caption made the fans think it could be related to the ‘Kung Fu Panda’ movies. The band revealed the connection between the song and the movie a few days after sharing the video.
The movie dropped on March 8 and features Tenacious D’s cover of the pop song.
