Michael B. Jordan’s next collaboration with Ryan Coogler has now scored a release date, confirming that the mysterious film is making progress.
Michael B. Jordan’s new movie with Ryan Coogler gets a release date. Jordan and Coogler have worked together multiple times as an actor-director duo. Beginning with Fruitvale Station in 2013, the pair worked on several films together, including Black Panther and Creed. Recently, they announced that they will team up again on an additional, untitled project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Coogler-Jordan project has gotten a release date. The film is now set for release on March 7, 2025. The film will be released in IMAX, and looks to begin production this spring in New Orleans.
What to Expect from the Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler Collaboration
Despite having a release date, a lot remains unknown surrounding this Coogler and Jordan project. For one, the film does not yet have a title or synopsis. Additionally, there is no main cast attached other than Jordan. With the production beginning so soon, it seems that the lack of information may be intentional on the part of Coogler and his team. Perhaps, they want the nature of the film to be a big reveal later on.

The movie is described to be an “event film,” though no plot has been revealed on the subject of said event. At one point, it was implied that the Coogler film would be a vampire movie “of some sort.” Other sources pointed to the film being a period piece and a “genre” film. The team on the project has neither confirmed nor denied these rumors, leaving the possibility open that the project is some kind of vampire period piece, or any other permutation of those elements.
